Polypectomy with endocervical curettage

Polypectomy

  • Endocervical curettage is performed for patients with polyps in the cervical canal, when after the removal of the polyp (usually via a fenestra) endocervical curettage is needed to remove the base od the polyp via a curette (if it is in the cervical canal).
  • However, we could use hysteroscopy to perform polypectomy and endometrial polyps’ removal. Removing the uterine polyps i.e. polypectomy is usually done via an electric loop.
  • Removing submucous myoma of the uterus, if there are no contraindications (the myoma has to be less than 5cm in diameter, and at least 2/3 of the myoma has to be intracavity).
